Guns and missiles combine in rapidly deployable air-defense concept

Article Abstract:

A concept for a rapid-deployable, air-transportable, mobile ground-based air-defense (GBAD) system that is designed to protect static and maneuvering entitles from air threats such as precision bombs, crusie missiles and fighter-bombers is presented. The concept includes number of networked, modular armored vehicles equipped as platforms for searching radar, a surface-to-air missile launcher, a 35mm air-defense gun or a tactical command post.

Latest SMART multibeam naval radar targets littoral environment

Article Abstract:

Thales Naval Nederland has unveiled SMART, which is three-dimensional multibeam radar. SMART-S MK 2, the F-band sensor, is optimized for medium to long-range surveillance and target designation in littoral environments, which include clutter caused by the mainland, island, skerries and surf zones.
