Article Abstract:

The global war on terrorism (GWOT), like any other historic conflicts, has produced detainees, legitimate prisoners of war, hostages, civilians, and/or terrorists, sustained for the duration of hostilities. This kind of detention is both allowed and widely accepted under the Law of Armed Conflict.

Military construction and weapons systems acquisitions: A match made in heaven (or maybe not)

Article Abstract:

The way the military construction (MilCon) and weapons systems acquisitions (WSA) programs work in the modern times are described. Discretionary funding and Congressional mandates are having an impact on MilCon and WSA programs, which support all Marines at every installation.

Non-lethal weapons design criteria: a proposal

Article Abstract:

A proposal is presented that describes an updated design for nonlethal weapons used by the military. Such weapons should be light, not be labor intensive, use the latest technology and impose few munitions types.
