Hump-backed "Amur": With BrahMos VLS capability offered to India

Article Abstract:

BrahMos Amur Complex design is completed by the Russians to launch 8 VLS BrahMos missiles in an elongated and slightly humped 'Amur' class submarine. The 'Amur' building programme is offered for over five years and discussions to build the boats in India at Vishakapatnam or Hazira as the second line of construction once the US$1.5bn 'Scorpene' deal with Armaris is signed.

First LADA submarine: Launched at admiralty shipyards Saint-Petersburg

Article Abstract:

"Saint Petersburg" is a non nuclear-submarine consisting of radio-electronic equipments with advanced technology. The special features like an all-mode permanent-magnet propulsion motor, non-penetrating hoisting masks, a main battery with increased power and service life of the submarine are also highlighted.

Salvaging the "Kursk" update

The Kursk, a Russian nuclear submarine that sank in the Barents Sea, August 12, 2000, will be lifted by an international consortium after divers cut off compartment 1, which holds nuclear torpedoes.
