Investing in people: the key to transforming the Army

Article Abstract:

Top officials of the US Army believe that the cornerstone to transforming the Army to a lighter, more survivable and more lethal force is its personnel. Hence, training of soldiers has been Army priority since the earliest days of the founding of the US nation. They have made large investments to foster this high-quality force by continuously training and educating them and giving army personnel the opportunity to grow and improve as leaders and soldiers.

Caring for soldiers in war and peace

Article Abstract:

The Army Medical Department is supporting the Army in combat, preparing units for deployment and return, and maintaining the health of soldiers, retirees and their families at home. The 91W medic, a robust U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) is responsible for a much healthier Army and a combat ready soldier on point.

Officer bloat or changing requirements?

Article Abstract:

The decline in enlisted to officer ratio (E:O) in the U.S. Army in the 1990s is analyzed and the changes in the present day Army are detailed. There is a fixed cost in just having an army, irrespective of the size of the Army and Army has to adjust according to the changing demands of modern warfare.
