Marine civil affairs and the GWOT

Article Abstract:

Policy experts must find the effects to accomplish the goal of the Marine civil affairs (CA) to solve the complex problem of fragile and failed states at the global war on terrorism (GWOT). The need to support and resource of CA units are recognized at the most senior levels, as could be demonstrated by highlighting a point made by the US President George W. Bush during a address on the GWOT.

'Mission Accomplished' is making a difference

Article Abstract:

The participation of the Battery G, 2d Battalion, 11th Marines (2/11), 1st Marine Division, based at Camp Pendleton, in the Operation Simi Valley is described. The Marine Corps accomplished the mission successfully mainly due to their positive attitude, unselfishness and the willingness to find a way to finish the task at hand.
