Mercedes-Benz: a new vehicle family for off-road missions

Article Abstract:

Mercedes-Benz has developed a new off-road military truck with three payload categories. The truck combines standard production line chassis parts with a customized cab that can satisfy user requirements such as extreme mobility, transportability and crew protection. The truck is also equipped with an integrated ballistic protection cell that can be easily installed without the need for drilling or welding nor altering the vehicle's performance.

The High Resolution Electronic Large Screen Display of RODA Computer GmbH (Hochauflosende Elektronische Lagedarstellung HEL) is comprised of up to 16 flat flat screens with an individual selection capability with a high resolution of more than 20 million pixels in total. The main and essential operational advantage of the HEL is the possibility to provide large-area, high-accuracy representation of the respective theatre of operations.
