Missile support for expeditionary forces: The Israeli solution

Article Abstract:

The effectiveness of traditional attack helicopters in today's scenario of expeditionary and asymmetric warfare where low intensity combat missions are undertaken is analyzed. One example could be the Israeli lightweight missile Rafael SPIKE-ER that is designed for use from helicopters in a mode that retains a 'man in the loop' capability in most fighting situations.

Spy in the sky: Israeli Airborne Intelligence Collection & Support Systems mature through low-intensity conflict

Article Abstract:

Modern armies' one of the main priorities is the intelligence collection and processing system. Advanced intelligence collection consists of the electro-optical (EO) day/night sensors of Synthetic Aperture Radars (SAR) installed on aircraft, satellites and unmanned platforms. Details of the Israeli airborne intelligence collection and support systems are discussed.
