NAO report voices concern over RN readiness

Article Abstract:

The U.K. National Audit Office (NAO) report has voiced its concerns over the impact of reduced funding allocations on the Royal Navy's (RN) future readiness levels. The Ministry of Defense's decision on reducing the peacetime readiness levels of some maritime forces to fund the British Army and Royal Air Force have forced the RN to take risk against the peacetime readiness levels of some maritime forces.

Brunei and BAE systems acceptance dispute moves to court of arbitration

Article Abstract:

BAE Systems is facing a problem with the Brunei government refusing to accept three new offshore patrol vessels (OPV) on the ground that they do not meet contract specifications. BAE Systems insists that the vessels have demonstrated contracted performance successfully, thus the matter now being taken to court. The details of the case and its expected proceedings are discussed.
