QinetiQ wraps up first phase of ISE trials

Article Abstract:

QinetiQ has successfully completed the demonstration of Integrated Sensor to Effect (ISE or S2E) program Phase I, redirecting an Enhanced Paveway (EPW II) GPS-guided bomb in flight against a moving target. Modifications are made to the EPW II, incorporating a Symetrics PC104 improved data modern and a Harris transceiver within the tail unit, linked to two conformal antennas on either side of the tail unit for all-round coverage, providing a two-way link with the ground controller.

Pakistan's industry joins international competition for new NATO-standard rifle

Article Abstract:

Pakistan's Ministry of Defence (MoD) plans to transform the PK-8 assault rifles from 7.62 mm weapons to a 5.56 mm system and have received few units of weapons from the international companies like FN Herstal and also the Pakistan Ordinance Factories (POF). The POF has developed assault rifles of the standards of NATO countries and joined the international competition.

Thales unveils Starstreak growth options

A new fully automatic lightweight target tracking and missile control system was introduced by the Thales Air Defence Limited (TADL) for use with the Starstreak high velocity missile (HVM), in ground, palletized or vehicle-integrated applications. The various features and the usage of this system are detailed.
