Article Abstract:

The South African Air Force (SAAF) recently acquired its second RedHawk AH-2A attack helicopter from Denel. Eventually, the SAAF will have a helicopter squardron composed of 12 RedHawks. Denel and its partner, British Aerospace Australia is trying to market the RedHawk to other buyers. The RedHawk is designed to operate in third-world conditions and is equipped with 16 Mokopa antiarmor missiles, two Sidewinder-type or four Matra BAe Dynamics Mistral air-to-air missiles.

US Coast Guard unveils new equipment and tactics for stopping drug-runners in their own wakes

Article Abstract:

US Coast Guard is more prepared to deal with drug dealers in light of better training and modern equipment provided to coastguardmen. Coast Guard Commandant Admiral James Loy's decision seven months ago to equip the service with such training and specialized helicopters and high-speed- pursuit boats are paying off. A training program called Operation New Frontier was designed to stop 'Go-Fast' boats, which are used by drug runners for their shipment.
