Rafael/Thales pitch Defender air-defence system to markets after successful tests

Article Abstract:

The successful live firing test of the Rafael/Thales Defender groundbased air-defence system on 28 February 2006 in Israel has opened the door to a worldwide marketing campaign to sell the combined system. The campaign is initially aimed at promoting Defender as it is employing Rafael's vertically launched Barak command-to-line-of-sight missile with a focus on Latin America, Asia and certain countries in Europe.

RussGPS showcases blue-force tracker developed for Russian T-series tanks

Article Abstract:

The Moscow-based RussGPS presented its blue-force tracking system it developed for Russian T-series tanks and is marketed along with the BelTech Export Company based in Belarus. The developmental Andromeda 21 satellite navigation system is a low-cost method to provide positional and status awareness within the area of operation inside tank formation.
