Ranch hand

Article Abstract:

The 1961-1975 Vietnam War featured a group of men who risked their lives in old, obsolescent and unarmed UC-123 aircraft to spray chemical herbicides over enemy-held territory. 'Operation Ranch Hand' (ORH) was to become a long-running Air Force campaign to defoliate jungles to deprive Communist forces of concealment cover and food supplies. However, neither those who flew ORH missions nor those who supported them have ever received the credit they deserve.
