Standardize the family readiness officer

Article Abstract:

The Key Volunteer Network (KVN), designed by Marine Corps order (MCO) provides valuable resources, information and support to Marine Corps Marines, sailors, spouse and families. Family readiness officer (FRO) is responsible for administratively supporting the unit's KVN under the leadership of the commanding officer and the key volunteer coordinator, a position held by a volunteer unit spouse.

Quality of life in the Marine Corps: challenges of the 21st century

Article Abstract:

Marine Corps achieve specific outcomes through their investment in improved quality of life programs. The Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA) monitors the state of living conditions in the Marine Corps, such as pay and compensation, housing, healthcare, leadership, promotion process and equal opportunity, so that they can face the challenges of the 21st century.

The business community in a supporting effort's role

Article Abstract:

The activation of Guardsmen and Reserves following 9/11 has meant a drop in salary, medical benefits for dependants and various other hardships to servicemembers. In a supporting effort, the business community has responded by actively supporting the families of deployed servicemembers.
