The Navy League's 2003 National Convention

Article Abstract:

The main hightlights of the Navy League's 2003 National Convention's, which took place from 18-22 June in Honolulu were the election of the new national president, five new national vise presidents, a new national judge advocate, and several new regional presidents. Sheila M. McNeill of Brunswick was the first woman to be elected to the Navy League's top post in the organization's 101-year history.

Kelly: sea basing presents 'infinite number of problems' for the enemy

Rear Adm. John M. Kelly, head of the Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC), is one of the service's top strategists developing the sea basing concepts, which has become a joint-service issue. He talks about his command's role in shaping the sea basing concept, the challenges faced by the NWDC and the role of logistics discipline and supply management in the sea base concept.
