The SABRA M-60 tank upgrade

Article Abstract:

Israel Military Industries has launched the SABRA retrofit kit for M- 60A1/A3 MBTs. The upgraded M-60 features an add-on armor kit to enhance protection to both the hull and turret. The original main armament, M68/L7 105 mm rifled gun, was also replaced with a high muzzle velocity, smooth- bore IMI 120mm MG251 gun. Another key upgrade is the use of a Teledyne Continental AVDS 1790-50 air-cooled diesel to increase mobility.
