Article Abstract:

Prospects for defense force expansion in the U.S. do not look good. The Pentagon chief asserts that, while he has an open mind, no one is able to convince him, and the analysis done by a panel headed by Marine Corps Gen. Peter Pace, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who examined whether military is large enough or not suggested that the number is just fine.

New orbit for American space power

Article Abstract:

The growing need to deal with potential threats to US space assets, weakness that could undermine US space launch prowess, and organizational problems that thwart fullest exploitation of military space is noted. It is suggested that the Air Force has the need to develop new kinds of sensors as well as new kinds of space warriors.

The star wars speech

Article Abstract:

An account of President Ronald Reagan's speech that was addressed the nation on 23rd march 1983 is given. His plan, strategic defense initiative was called as "star wars program", where he delivered a message to build an anti-ballistic missile defense system that he hoped would render nuclear weapons 'impotent and obsolete'.
