Tiltrotor transition

Article Abstract:

The transition task force (TTF), Marine Tiltrotor Test and Evaluation Squadron 22 (VMX-22), is helping the Marine Corps to begin the operational evaluation and transition process of MV-22 at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River. The Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 204 (VMMT-204) is more of a joint replacement air group than a typical fleet replacement squadron (FRS) and it will transform entire medium helicopter squadron (HMM) to Marine medium tiltrotor squadron (VMM).

The new H-1s - streetfighters to win the three block war

Article Abstract:

The Marine Corps believes its efforts to fight a three block war are enhanced with the use of the Yankee (UH-1Y) and Zulu (AH-1Z) helicopters. The helicopters are upgraded versions of the Huey and Cobra helicopters already in use. Examples of how well the upgrades perform are given.

High-altitude operations
