Two more Aegean Hawks to Greece

Article Abstract:

Sikorsky Export Corp has won a contract to supply two S-70B-6 Aegean Hawk helicopters to the Hellenic Navy. The procurement raises to 10 the total number of Aegean Hawks in service with the HN's Helicopter Command. The contract, which is worth $107 million, includes eight Raytheon AAS-44 FLIR/targeting systems to be installed to helicopters already in service. The two new Aegean Hawks will be equipped with the HELRAS dipping sonar made by L-3Communications' Ocean Systems Div.

Maritime patrol aircraft for the UAE

Article Abstract:

Construcciones Aeronauticas SA, the Spanish wing of the European Aerospace Defence and Space consortium (EADS CASA), has been awarded by the United Arab Emirates a contract valued at about $140 million for the delivery of four C-295M 'Persuader' maritime patrol aircraft. The C-295M is a stretched version of the CN-235M, which is ready fitted with the EADS CASA Fully Integrated Tactical System (FITS). EADS CASA first flew a C-295 FITS demonstrator aircraft earlier in 2001.

Nordic nations nominate NH 90

Article Abstract:

NH Industries has won contracts to supply the NH 90 helicopter to Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The helicopter was approved by the Nordic Standard Helicopter Programme committee.
