We should've engaged them

Article Abstract:

The general rule against firing over the top of the friendly vehicles needs to be reconsidered for the vehicles carrying heavy weapons, making room for special fire missions, which should be well-understood, practiced and hip pocket ready. An amtrack gunner/driver who worked with 4th Amphibian Battalion during Operation Iraqi Freedom is of the opinion that equipment upgrades such as improved Mk19 and multiband, multimode radios emphasize on making fuller employment of the weapons.
