Linear warfare existed well before Napoleon Bonaparte came onto the scene, but he brought major changes to the concept and it has remained basically the same since. However, the US Army's planned transformation and digitization will bring new concepts and approaches to warfare.

The perplexing military plural

Article Abstract:

A comprehensive study of the perplexing plural adjectives in the grammar used by the military is examined. In discussing the phenomenon of plural adjectives in English, Jesperson mentions the fact that in certain sections of Alabama the natives speak of having a 'teethache'.

The need for enhanced interoperability

Article Abstract:

The Chief of Staff of the French Army explains that interoperability is essential for coalitions to cope successfully with current and future security challenges. The interoperability needed depends on a continuous and dense cycle of doctrinal and training exchanges.
