Yemen oil attacks display intent but little capability

Article Abstract:

Two near simultaneous car bomb attacks, the first of its kind in Yemen by Islamist militants were undertaken against oil industry targets on 15 September 2006. They appear to be an example of a new hybrid style of attacks in Yemen mimicking the more sophistical Al-Qaeda tactics outside the country and seem to indicate that the intentions of Yemeni militants are steadily increasing even if their capabilities are not currently keeping pace.
