Wendy's International is promoting the new Paul Hogan movie, "Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles", on its tray liners in its restaurant chain. In the movie, Paul Hogan visits a Wendy's restaurant calling it "somewhere really special" to eat when entertaining another Aussia friend.

A Time for Finesse: Marketing Beef After a Mad Cow Discovery

Article Abstract:

The beef industry, fast food restaurants and others are launching extensive television advertising campaigns and other public relations efforts to reassure American meat consumers that US beef is safe. An NPD Group survey shows that Americans are more concerned about mad cow disease, but they will continue to eat meat products. The National Cattlemens Association is using various information dissemination approaches to show consumers images of healthy cattle in the US and to provide data on bovine spongiformencephalopathy through press conferences and a Web site.
