Marketers use invisible words to help move their Web sites to the top of a search engine's list

Article Abstract:

Corporate marketing managers have realized the power of 'meta tags' or keywords used in company Web sites which can influence the order of a search engine's search-result listing. The idea is that certain key words in a company's Web site generate a search engine to list that site in the top results of a user's search. Users are known to click on one of the first link-results they see.
