Pettigrew backs broader WTO agenda

Pierre Pettigrew, Canada's Interior Trade Minister, told an audience in Tokyo that developing countries will not hold trade liberalization talks at November's meeting of the World Trade Organization unless specific issues are addressed; e.g., improved market access, farm trade barriers, and greater inclusion in decision-making.
