Stocks face historically tricky September, October

Article Abstract:

Financial and securities markets in New York, NY, are picking up business after a typically slow August, but are heading into what has historically been Wall Street's toughest two months of the year: September and October. According to Instinet Research, when stocks fare well in August, they decline by 1.4% on average during September and October, but when they fall in August, they appreciate by 0.4% in September and October. Thus, many analysts say that investors should view stock buying very carefully during these months.
