The changing forms of politics and democracy in Hong Kong after its return to China by the British are discussed. Many members of the Legislative Council have assured seats even before the start of voting in the final election.

Drug haul biggest in Canadian history

Article Abstract:

The Royal Customs and Revenue Agency and the Royal Candian Mounted Police seized illegal drugs in the biggest smuggling case in Canadian history. Seven persons of Asian descent were arrested in Vancouver and Toronto for bringing in the drugs from China.
