A new rule for clean air

Article Abstract:

The impact of the Environmental Protection Agency's new regulation, the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR), on the energy industry is discussed. Industry stakeholders - electric utilities, environmentalists, manufacturers, and regulators, present their perspectives on the emissions regulating law.

Another perspective: no substitute for hard work

Article Abstract:

The implications of Energy Policy Act of 2005 for energy industry in United States are discussed. The bill was postponed a number of times but the industry persisted. In effect, the industry emulated Thomas Edison's famous quote "there is no substitute for hard work" and achieved its objectives.

Clear Skies: a better way to regulate

The Clear Skies Act contains various regulations, which are effective in providing a given level of environmental protection at low cost. Recent research indicates emission reduction along with capture of significant amount of mercury.
