Defending the moral moderate: contractualism and common sense

Commonsense moral reasoning must account for the concept of constraints. Some reasons that justify harming someone without that person's consent to save another may be a matter of large numbers, but this issue has yet to be settled.

The democracy/ contractualism analogy

The definitions of Democracy and Contractualism analogy are discussed. Analogy theories accept that democracy tracks justice partly because citizens are motivated nonegoistically and in a morally significant way.
