Women and the 21st century

Article Abstract:

Women have gained much economic, educational, social and political opportunities at the end of the 20th century which were not readily available to them in the 19th century. Presently, women take part in businesses while fertility rates and maternal mortality have fallen. However, there are still challenges that need to be addressed in the 21st century such as the equality of pay between the sexes, the elimination of the 'glass ceiling' for career women and the improvement of health services for them.
