Adolescent gender differences in HIV-related sexual risk acts, social-cognitive factors and behavioral skills

Article Abstract:

Research across a sample of 132 heterosexual adolescents from 14 to 21 years interviewed as part of an HIV/AIDS intervention program indicated differences across HIV risk , safe sex norm and outcome perceptions. Although interaction conditions were established with gender and sexual risk, outcome expectancies on peer approval were lowest among females with low-risk behavior and also among high-risk males.

Indices of lifetime polydrug use among adolescents

Article Abstract:

The functional equivalency for three indices of lifetime polydrug use was examined in a sample of adolescents. Relationships between the indices with gender, age, ethnicity, and country origin were examined.
