Genetic and environmental influences on extreme personality dispositions in adolescent female twins

Article Abstract:

A study is performed to determine whether the pattern of environmental and genetic influence on deviant personality scores differs from that observed for the normative range of personality, comparing the influences in adolescent and adult female twins. It is suggested that shared family environment plays an important role in determining personality deviance, but not to normal range variation in personality for high neuroticism and high social non-conformity.
