Oxytocin responsivity in mothers of infants: a preliminary study of relationships with blood pressure during laboratory stress and normal ambulatory activity

Article Abstract:

This article examines the relationship between blood pressure levels and oxytocin responsivity in bottle and breast-feeding mothers. Results indicate that breast-feeding mothers were more likely to experience reductions in stress and blood pressure levels and increases in oxytocin during testing conditions when compared to bottle-feeding mothers.

Potassium supplementation induces beneficial cardiovascular changes during rest and stress in salt sensitive individuals

Article Abstract:

Research is presented about the ways potassium supplements can produce hemodynamic benefits. Typical US diet levels of salt and potassium, affect of this diet on blood pressure, and salt sensitivity are discussed.
