Personality disorder traits evident by early adulthood and risk for eating and weight problems during middle adulthood

Article Abstract:

The association of personality disorder (PD) with the subsequent development of eating and weight problems is investigated. Results indicate that PD symptoms, which are evident by early adulthood, might be associated with the risk for the development of eating and weight problems by middle adulthood.

Face-memory and emotion: Associations with major depression in children and adolescents

Article Abstract:

A novel face-memory task used to test the hypothesis that adolescent major depressive disorder (MDD) is associated with a deficit in memory for face-emotions, is studied. The relationship between parental MDD and memory performance in offspring is also presented.

Social phobia and the persistence of conduct problems

Article Abstract:

Research is presented concerning the prediction of delinquent behavior in adolescence through the study of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and social anxiety in childhood. The results of epidemiological studies are discussed.
