Security of attachment in 8-12-year-olds: a revised version of the Separation Anxiety Test, its psychometric properties and clinical interpretation

Article Abstract:

The examination of reliability and validity of an adapted version of the Separation Anxiety Test (SAT) for 8-12 year olds establishes inter-retest reliability. The test-retest reliability and internal test construction were not as satisfactory. These have to be developed further before further application of SAT in a clinical setting. The test did prove SAT's validity in making the important distinction between scoring the self and the other and the merit of analyzing SAT responses in a broader qualitative context.

The relationship between sleep and temperament revisited: Evidence for 12-months-olds: A research note

Article Abstract:

The sleep attributes of 30 normal 12-month old children were studied using a computerized movement detector, with child temperament data based on the Carey Toddler Temperament Questionnaire. Rhythmic children were observed to go to sleep earlier and they slept longer, although their sleep pattern was no more efficient than children with irregular rhythmicity.
