Time and change: using survival analysis in clinical assessment and treatment evaluation

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the use of survival analysis in clinical assessment and treatment evaluation. Event was defined as some kind of qualitative change that can be determined as occurring at a relatively specific point in time. Results indicated survival analysis as a powerful and flexible tool in understanding the kinds of change that clinical investigators find interesting.

The trail making test: a study in focal lesion patients

Article Abstract:

Research investigating the relationship between the health of the frontal lobe of the brain and behavior is presented. Particular attention is given to analyses and applications of the trail making tests. It is concluded that people with damage to their frontal lobes made more than one error.

Discrepancy between predicted and obtained WAIS-R IQ scores discriminates between traumatic brain injury and insufficient effort

Article Abstract:

Research examining the accuracy of distinguishing between traumatic brain injuries and insufficient effort by using the scores of obtained and predicted Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale is presented. It is concluded that patients of insufficient effort showed a larger discrepancy.
