Agents see opportunities for office development

Article Abstract:

Some agents have criticised the increasing amount of housing development which has gone ahead in Kingston-upon-Thames, England, to the detriment of industrial development. The town has little vacant office space with no new buildings available. Smaller office buildings may be more popular with occupiers. Office development in Richmond, England, has been very limited but the 38,914 sq ft of space at Parkshot House remains vacant. Some agents have predicted demand for office space in Walton-on Thames, Richmond and Kingston-upon-Thames may increase as car use becomes more restricted.

Standing easy

Article Abstract:

The office market in Staines, Surrey, England, has been adversely affected by traffic congestion in the town centre. Its closeness to the M25 has led to two office development sites at London Road and the Causeway. The town is popular with software companies and rents continue to grow. The local authorities have plans to make major changes to the town centre to encourage retail development. Egham is growing in popularity as an office location. Rail links are good and access by car is relatively easy. The local authorities have agreed four new office development schemes.
