A rash of new leisure developments in the Manchester city centre are aiming to attract workers to restaurants and cafes during working hours, with nightclubs and bars attracting people during the evening. Manchester serves a wide community and the new schemes are hoping to provide leisure activities to meet demands from local areas surrounding the city. Nationally known operations are moving into city centre developments at the expenses of small, independent outlets.
