Article Abstract:

War artists have depicted war since the 17th century at least, though the profession did not gain importance until the popular press developed. The Illustrated London News carried scene of the Crimean war sent by Constantin Guys, a French artist, in 1855. John Keane was sent to the Gulf by the Imperial War Museum, London, England, in 1991, and the museum also sent Peter Howson to Bosnia. Howson is again in the Balkans in 1999, with the sponsorship of the Times newspaper.

Article Abstract:

Many poor Latin American nations are restructuring their public debt and increasing their economic infrastructure to attract US investors. American companies require a certain level of infrastructure and economic development before they will locate facilities in other countries. Latin American countries are also embarking on privatization programs and getting direct financial help from many international organizations in order to meet US investor standards.

Article Abstract:

The US legal system is overwhelmed by the amount of litigation it must endure. Most responsible are tort cases, which are suits where someone will try to recover money for a personal injury due to liability or malpractice. Much tort litigation is frivolous and needs to be controlled.
