An alliance organized by San Francisco-based McMahan Group, a strategic consulting firm specializing in corporate real estate, and Tom Bomba, senior principal, director of the alliance has developed a new portfolio management model. The two-tiered model places organization strategy at the top of a pyramid, with portfolio management directly underneath. Below that is asset management (individual and clusters of facilities, underneath which is facility management, design and occupancy planning, project management, property administration, and transactions.
