MCI WorldCom: can it put all the pieces together?

Article Abstract:

The spate of mergers and acquisitions carried out by MCI WorldCom is part of the firm's strategy to solidify its presence in the telecommunications industry. While some firms may not approve of MCI WorldCom's tactic, the move has helped the firm reduce its real estate expenses by selling it off. In addition, the mergers carried out by the firm enabled it to consolidate personnel into fewer locations.
