New Usury Exemption in California - California Corporations Code Section 25118

Article Abstract:

The California Corporations Code allows new usury exemption in respect of commercial lending under certain conditions and certain classes of lenders. Included are loans made or arranged on secured real property by California licensed brokers.

California licensing requirements for unregulated lenders and intermediaries

Article Abstract:

The California Finance Lenders Law covers lenders and brokers involved in making or negotiating consumer or commercial loans. Brokers and lenders are required to obtain a license from the California Commissioner of Corporations.
