North American Telecom pushes the right business buttons ... but not necessarily everywhere

Article Abstract:

North America's telecommunications infrastructure is now comparable to any developed country worldwide with the exception of several areas in Mexico and far-flung regions of Canada and the U.S. Major Canadian and U.S. cities and numerous minor communities have access to fiber optic lines and the integrated services digital network. Canada, aside from the availability of fiber-optic lines, also boasts of 100% digital switching while asynchronous transfer mode switching is offered in several regional networks.
