Ready for 'immersive' photography?

Article Abstract:

Interactive Picture Corp's immersive photographic image technology offers significant benefits to real estate owners and developers as well as corporate site seekers. The technology captures images of rooms, buildings and outdoor sites from various angles and perspectives for viewing on compact disc or the Internet. Real estate owners can use the technology to improve their marketing while corporate site seekers can benefit by being able to view potential sites without travelling to their locations. The Tennessee Valley Authority's use of the technology is described.

According to experts, the business sector must adopt the necessary measures for rendering their systems year 2000 compliant to ensure that unforseen problems would be properly addressed. Such is particularly crucial in the real estate and manufacturing sectors, where the millenium bug is expected to create the most pronounced impact.

Software developers are responding quickly to the complex real estate demands of high-growth companies or 'gazelles'. Many small gazelles rely on the usual suite of office systems to satisfy their real estate management automation requirements. But software developers are trying to address the utility and cost issues of such real estate management software by placing such software in the World Wide Web environment and using a pay-for-use or pay by the year basis.
