Article Abstract:

The enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) made the right to public accessibility a reality to disabled American citizens. Title III gives disabled persons the same lodgings and access accorded to ordinary citizens. Furthermore, building owners should comply with the ADA provisions before making alterations on their properties. Building interiors such as lobbies, stairs and elevators and exteriors such as entrances and ramps are checked for compliance with ADA provisions.
