Article Abstract:

The UK's Property Computer Show will be held in London, England, on Oct 21 and 22, 1997, and is a showpiece for the latest computer software aimed at property professionals. The show, organized by VCM Communications and supported by the Residential and Estate Agency Training & Education Association, will have 80 exhibitors and 150 products on show, including some 21 new exhibits. Systems displayed for the first time include Impact Design's Propertymaster, a package designed to manage property portfolios, and DeCAL's DeCAL Badger property management system. A list of exhibitors at the show is included.

A new database containing a record of commercial and industrial property developed by Scottish Enterprise and the University of Paisley will give property agents continuous information on the state of the property market in Scotland. Fifteen researchers will constantly update the records which will be available to subscribers who are willing to pay 2,000 pounds sterling every 3 months. Some agents are very enthusiastic about the scheme whilst others have reservations about the high costs involved.

With more than 125 products on display the Property Computer Show in London, England,during October 1996 has much to offer all branches of the property market. Some packages on offer can take on more mundane tasks in surveying administration and simplify other areas. In the residential market place rapid access to details of properties for sale and the facility to monitor the progress of houses under offer will be attractive. Ten companies will be exhibiting in the new Internet section.
