Southeast Ohio is being eyed as the site for clean coal and high-technology ceramic manufacturing due to its vast supplies of clay and coal. The Athens County is expected to be the center of such manufacturing activities due to its close proximity with clay resources and the significant numer of chemical companies along the Ohio River that use ceramics. The county also offers several recerational and cultural opportunities.

Article Abstract:

Southern Ohio's Fayette County is becoming a favorite site for outlet malls due to its close proximity with Interstate 71. Companies can find several site opportunities in the area due to its agricultural base. Distributors can also profit from the county's location in the middle of the three metropolitan areas of Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus. Another advantage enjoyed by Fayette is that it is not yet overdeveloped.
