Real estate professionals frequently are unaware of sources of historical data on significant matters such as property construction, interest rates and real estate returns. A number of Internet World Wide Web sites provide a considerably rich and excellent source of government and private data to these professionals. They include www.fedstats.gov/key, www.huduser.org, www.hud.gov/fha/comp/rpts/sIma, www.stis.frb.org/fred/data/business, www.jblevco.com/gilevind, www.mortgagemart.com/armindex.html and Http://firstunion.com/reports/databank/fdic.

For instance, Institutional Real Estate Inc (www.ire-net.com) furnishes a good gateway to locations where types of hard real estate data can be obtained. The www.bloomberg.com/markets/index site provides a rich supply of information on financial markets including the mortgage market. The Housing and Urban Development Dept's www.hud.gov/fundsavl.html site may be invaluable for those involved in funding residential properties.

These sites provide a wealth of information as well as links to related sites.
