'Extinctive' prescription under the Avant-projet
Article Abstract:
The proposed reforms in the French civil code under the Avant-projet are assessed on the basis of the prescription system, and the Principles of European Contract law. The author concludes that though the Principles of European Contract Law and the new German law of prescription are repeatedly referred to in the new code, these ought to have been considered in a more comprehensive manner.

L'avant-projet francais de reforme du droit des obligations et de la prescription: presentation generale
Article Abstract:
The article discusses the reforms that were brought about in the law of obligations and prescription of the French Civil Code. The 'Avant-project de reforme de droit des obligations et de la prescription' was achieved by a committee of 36 professors of law who modernized the French law of obligations and at the same time retained some of the old traditions.

Prescription in French and Belgian property law after the Pye judgment

French and Belgian property laws are discussed in the light of Pye judgment in which European Court of Human rights had ruled in landowner, Pye's favor.
