A little order in your life

Article Abstract:

Mail order catalogues have traditionally had a negative reputation in the UK, being regarded as suited only to working class people who require the flexibility of being able to pay in installments. However, mail order catalogues are now developing a much more upmarket image. Catalogues launched by small, independent stores have had a particularly strong impact on the sector, shifting it away from expensive, mass-produced, poor quality items and towards products that offer good value for money and are presented in an attractive way. Catalogue retailers are now targeting all social groups.

Unique? Definitely. Bonkers? Oh yes

Article Abstract:

Fashion designers Antoni Burakowski and Alison Roberts draw their inspiration from very unconventional sources. They have always rejected the concept of a straightforward catwalk show, and prefer to define their own rules. Their collection for spring/summer 2000 will be modeled by friends and real models against a background of film which they shot themselves. The collection includes tank tops with upside-down smiley faces and clothes printed with characters eating chocolate.
