A rose is still a rose, but everything else in botany is turned on its head

Article Abstract:

Scientists at Kew Gardens in London, England, have been able to use recent developments in genetics as the basis for a complete reclassification of all the families of the flowering plants and trees in the world. This is the first time that it has been possible to produce a completely accurate evolutionary tree of plants. The evolutionary tree is based on a comparison of the plants' DNA, rather than their morphology. It will now be necessary for botanists to rewrite their floras.
